Ivana and Ross | Engaged

Yesterday as I was leaving the gym at around 5:30 pm my car said it was 76 degrees outside. What a lovely day it was. And today May 1st, it was a high of 32 and we have several inches of fresh snow on the ground! Crazy right? Colorado can be so unpredictable. I just had to post this session from a couple of months ago with Ivana and Ross. Ivana is gorgeous and so incredibly sweet, we hit it off from the start! And Ross is the marshmallow to her heart chocolate. Haha Okay that was a little cheesy. But really they are great together and we had a blast trying to find snow in Woodland Park and loving every minute of it! I cannot wait for their wedding at Sylvandale Guest Ranch later this summer!

 

Hello gorgeous warm light that wraps you up like a blanket on a cold day! I LOVE this light!

Obviously when Ivana busted out these super cute homemade heart shaped marshmallows I had to do the ring shot on them. Let’s just say the ring may or may not have gone for a quick swim in the process but it was so worth it!

 

And because engagements are FUN, we decided to end the session with a playful snowball fight with the greatest backdrop you could ask for!  These two get serious about snowball fights. I was literally bursting with laughter during these!

Sierra | Lifestyle | Colorado Springs Maternity Photographer

I have reached that phase in life where let’s face it, EVERYONE I know is having babies. Or at least it seems like it.:)In addition to shopping for these new babies and attending baby showers sometimes I get the privilege of photographing these gorgeous mama to be’s. Sierra is no exception she is beautiful inside and out and I can’t wait until Baby Liam gets here so that I can get him in front of my camera as well! Just a couple more months and Sierra and Ben will join the parenthood club. Until then she is glowing with anticipation! Stay tuned to the end of this post for a special announcement!

Amy Sullivan Illustrator | Lifestyle | Colorado Springs Lifestyle Photography

 

I recently had the opportunity to photography the very talented Amy Sullivan of Design Kit Creative.  She is an amazing illustrator and designer with a super fabulous light filled studio here in Colorado Springs!  I am incredibly envious of this space so of course when she asked me to photograph her in it I jumped right on it! It is fun to see someone with an artform so different to mine at work. It is truly fascinating to see what creative minds can come up with! She is also the brains and hands behind the creation of my new branding.:)Also Amy along with these images were featured in the Land of Nod Catalog!  Without further ado….

Ashton & Grant | Wedding | The Day After | Sylvandale Guest Ranch Wedding Photographer

After seeing their wedding day post yesterday I am sure a little whole in your heart was missing since there were no couples portraits. Well Ashton and Grant decided to do a day after session instead. Which meant I got to hang out with them for a little while their first day as husband and wife. And believe it or not the rain came but when it did we already had everything we needed. Why? Because they chose a gorgeous place to get married and they themselves are a gorgeous couple who are oh so much in love.  You two sure made my job easy.;)

Ashton & Grant | Married | Sylvandale Guest Ranch Wedding Photographer

I feel like I spend a whole hour writing about all of the little things that made this wedding amazing. But I am not going to do that, because well….that’s what photos are for.:)But I will tell you that Ashton & Grant are a fabulous couple with a sweet love story. And somehow with the help of their loved ones all of the pieces came together for probably the most romantic environment I have ever seen created at a wedding.  The ceremony and reception took place at the Sylvandale Guest Ranch in Loveland, CO.  Also note that they decided to keep their couples portraits to a day after session so those will be featured in a separate post tomorrow!:)Congrats you two, we had a blast shooting your wedding and hope that you enjoyed your Bora Bora honeymoon(I am so jealous!)

Her sweet little dog knew something was up and wouldn’t leave her side!:)So cute!

 

I love these! Ashton made a very beautiful bride. 

 

Meanwhile back at the ranch…er hotel….my super awesome second shooter Matt was getting some pics of the guys!

Guests were great with lots of fun things to look at.:)

I love sneaking up and getting photos of the couple the moment after they walk after their ceremony.

And then when the family and bridal party joined them, the emotions poured!

This was a seriously beautiful wedding and many of the details were mastered by Ashton’s mom who owns Vines Vintage in Ft. Collins.
